VEX IQ
Build and code a robot using a system designed for younger learners. Explore mechanisms and teamwork.
Meet Kieran Higham, Siraj Hamdan, Jada-Maya Modha-Weir and Husain Alaswad, the team behind Teatime Robotics. We bring our experience as competitors, mentors and international event officials into opportunities for young people.

Teatime Robotics has received the Event Partner of the Year award, and each of us has individually received a Volunteer of the Year award. These achievements reflect the time and care we put into helping students and supporting the robotics community.
Robotics has given us opportunities to learn, travel and build lasting friendships. We understand the work behind a competition robot and we use that experience to help students develop their own designs and explain their decisions.
Our own community includes VEX IQ, VEX V5 and university teams. Across those programmes, we value the students developing their own ideas, improving from mistakes and supporting the people around them. Whether someone is building their first robot or preparing for an international event, we want them to feel welcome and have clear next steps.
New to robotics, ready to compete or looking to help? Explore the routes below and tell us what interests you. We’ll help you work out a suitable next step.

Develop engineering skills with complex robot design and coding, work with a team to test and improve reliability.

Help students have a great competition day, explore roles for different levels of robotics experience.

Support students as they develop their robot and work as a team. Share your experience and help plan their season.
VIQRC

Based in Buntingford, Teacups are starting their first VEX IQ Season with the VEX Flop HeroBot. They are learning through hands-on building, coding and testing, learning their way around the VEX Kit and navigating challenges as a team.

Our London team is taking on VEX IQ for the first time. Team members are developing their building and coding skills, learning to work together as a team and preparing for their first season of competitions.
V5RC

After winning their division at the National Championships in their first VEX IQ season, our team is stepping up to VEX V5 to take on a new challenge. They are taking their competitive experience and exploring more complex mechanisms, programming and competition strategy for their next VEX Chapter.
VURC

TTIME brings together university students who previously competed as Noodle and St Chris Snowflakes. They are continuing their robotics journey in VEX U while sharing their knowledge and experience with younger teams in the Teatime Robotics community and developing their own new robots to step into a new, complex VEX Level.
